About the Seminar

Information and Communication Technology involves the use of technology for positive transformation in the society. ICT is recognized as the most important tool to facilitate greater access to information and communication among the undeserved population. Many countries across the globe have established organizations to promote ICTs with the aim to decrease the huge economic gap between the technological “have” and “have not” areas. The United Nations International Telecommunication Union also publishes the ICT Development Index (IDI) based on internationally agreed information and communication technologies indicators. With the dissemination of ICT around the globe, there is a greater need to understand how it can be used to improve the socio-economic conditions of the disadvantaged populations. From the perspective of research, a lot of work remains to be done to develop strong theoretical approaches that can be employed to study the use of ICT in development contexts. “National Seminar on Recent Trends in Information and Communication Technology" will provide an outstanding platform for Researchers, Industry Professionals, Academicians and students to highlight the latest advancements in the field of ICT and its applications to diversified areas like biological sciences, higher education etc. With the rapid change in technology and development of effective and faster modes of communication, this seminar on emerging trends in Information Communication Technology is very significant for the students and faculty members of different institutions to learn current innovations in this area.
